Environmental Commission: The North Providence Town Council is seeking applicants for a position on the North Providence Environmental Commission. Financial Audit Committee: The Town of North Providence is seeking interested applicants for an opening on the Financial Audit Committee. It is the responsibility of the Financial Audit Committee to provide independent review and oversight of the Town’s financial reporting process, internal controls and external auditor(s). Also, the committee oversees the whistleblower hotline. The ideal candidate will possess a basic understanding of governmental financial reporting and accounting. The Town Clerk’s office is responsible for advertising for the Town Council Meetings, posting notices for the Town Council Meetings; maintaining the minutes of the Town Council Meetings; recording, indexing and maintenance of all land evidence records and liens; maintaining vital statistics records; Probate Court and the maintenance of all probate matters; issuance of new Liquor Licenses, renewals and transfers; issuance, and renewals where applicable, of Business (Trade Name), Victualling, Entertainment, Holiday Sales, Auto Wrecking and Salvage, Private Detective, Marriage, Amusement, Peddlers, Vendor, Fishing and Hunting, Dog Licensing and Working at the Annual Rabies Clinic.
