The Town of
North Providence Acquires Camp Meehan Property
Mayor Charles
Lombardi signed papers acquiring 15.5 acres of open
space land abutting Governor Notte Park on June 18.
It was a landmark purchase for the Town of North
Providence. Mayor Lombardi said that officials plan
to use the recreation building on the property to
expand the town's summer camp program offerings this
year, benefiting residents immediately.
The North Central Chamber of
