Cost: $225 Check/Money Order payable to the Town of North Providence             

Prerequisites:

  1. Must be 15 Years old
  2. Swim 300 yards continuously using crawl stroke and breaststroke.
  3. Starting in the water, swim 20 yards using front crawl or breaststroke, surface dive 10-12 feet, retrieve 10 – pound object, return to surface, swim 20 yards back to the starting point with the object and exit the water without using ladders or steps, within 1 minute, 40 seconds.

Student Evaluation:

  1. Attend all class sessions
  2. Successfully complete three sections on exam with an 80% on each
  3. Successfully complete final skills scenario
  4. Perform all critical skills necessary

Certificate Validity:

  1. Lifeguard Training and First Aid – 3 years
  2. CPR for the professional rescuer – 1 year
  3. AED – 1 year
